Sourced from the acres of her own farm, Maria’s floral creations exude luxurious beauty as she deftly weaves together the colors and textures of nature. During this reception, you will have a chance to explore a few samples of the unique pieces she crafts from materials sourced from the ground up.

The famed seasonal greenery at Wimbee Creek Farm has become a holiday tradition across the Southeast, and owner Maria Baldwin is bringing it to FLOW Gallery + Workshop for a yuletide workshop focused on creating a wreath of your own. As a seasoned botanical artist, Maria will not only guide you through the principles of layering, shaping, and finishing your wreath, but also impart tips and techniques to keep it fresh and green throughout the season.

Evergreen Garland Making

Rooted in the seasonal flora of her gardens at Wimbee Creek Farm, floral artist Maria Baldwin will lead a workshop at FLOW Gallery + Workshop on crafting your own garland chain to use in your holiday décor. Providing fresh greenery and colorful accent blooms and branches from her garden, Maria will instruct attendees on techniques for arranging eye-catching holiday accents that will look equally fetching draped across the mantle or arranged at the center of the table.

The holidays are a time for friends and family to gather around the table in fellowship and cheer, and during this enchanting workshop, floral artist Maria Baldwin will help you put your own artistic design at the center of it all. Using a selection of curated blooms and greenery from her Wimbee Creek Farm, Maria will share insights into the techniques she uses to craft dazzling centerpieces. From establishing shapes and forms to balancing colors and textures, you’ll learn the entire process of creating a gorgeous centerpiece, with insights on keeping it fresh and beautiful throughout the holiday season.

About the Artist

Maria Baldwin and Kristina Crisologo create elegant, luxury floral designs rooted in the rich history of Wimbee Creek Farm. The land was once home to the Wimbee people, and has been cultivated for centuries. When Maria and her husband, Gary, first visited the property, they immediately fell in love with it. Since then, she has transformed the farm into a thriving source of beautiful, seasonal blooms for regional designers, wedding planners, and flower lovers throughout the Lowcountry. Her signature floral work is lush, artful, and deeply connected to the land, celebrating the beauty, history, and sense of place that defines Wimbee Creek Farm.
