All that glitters is gold… and silver and precious! Join us at FLOW Gallery + Workshop to welcome acclaimed jeweler Mark Lexton. A third-generation artisan, Mark will share the stories behind his heirloom jewelry, all crafted in South Carolina. Inspired by his wife’s equine lifestyle, Mark’s first collection piece - a gold dressage pin - set the stage for a career in fine jewelry. From pins to pendants, Mark’s mastery spans all forms of jewelry. Hand-carving the originals, the pieces are then cast using the lost wax casting technique by pouring precious metals into them to create long-lasting and stunning works. With a lifetime of experience passed down through three generations of jewelers, Mark’s pieces are built to stand the test of time and become precious family heirlooms.

Join us for an exclusive hands-on workshop to learn the timeless technique of carving wax to create precious metal jewelry from renowned artist and master craftsman Mark Lexton. In this workshop, 

Mark will walk you through each step of the intricate carving process to create your own oyster earrings or cufflinks! Mark will take the finished product back to his workshop for casting, and your custom, one-of-a-kind earrings or cufflinks will be available for pick up at FLOW Gallery + Workshop upon completion. 

If you are not local to the area, arrangements can be made to mail your earrings or cufflinks directly to you.

Come learn the intricate technique of carving wax to create precious metal jewelry from the master, Mark Lexton. This hands-on workshop gives you the unique opportunity to create your own sterling silver oyster pendant, guided by Mark’s expert instruction. Once Mark has led you through the techniques of carving, participants will create their own wax oyster likeness, which Mark will bring back to his workshop to cast and create the piece. Once completed, the pendant will be mailed to FLOW Gallery + Workshop for pick up.

If you are not local to the area, arrangements can be made to mail your pendant directly to you.

About the Artist

Mark Lexton is a third-generation artisan from Florence, SC. Inheriting his passion for jewelry making from his grandfather and father (both skilled artisans in the trade), Mark began crafting jewelry inspired by his wife Lisa’s equestrian lifestyle, launching his first collection with a gold dressage pin. Mark continues to draw inspiration from his family, animals, and the natural beauty of South Carolina. Known for their exceptional craftsmanship and timeless appeal, Mark hand-carved pieces are designed to be treasured heirlooms.
