In this engaging workshop, participants will craft their own heirloom-quality charcuterie board from locally reclaimed wood, learning directly from a master who has dedicated his life to preserving Charleston’s history—one handcrafted piece at a time.
Capers will guide you through selecting the perfect wood, shaping and finishing your board, and sharing tips on board care and stylish presentation. Whether you’re entertaining a few friends or hosting a grand event, your handcrafted board will be both a functional piece and a conversation starter.
To sweeten the experience, charcuterie snacks will be provided during the workshop—because what’s a charcuterie board without something delicious to go with it?

Enjoy Southern hospitality and join Charleston craftsman Capers of Landrum Tables for a hands-on woodworking workshop focused on the creation of handcrafted charcuterie boards. Each participant will craft a unique board using locally reclaimed wood, gaining insight into the thoughtful techniques and traditional craftsmanship that define Capers’ work.
The workshop will include insights into how Capers selects wood as well as guidance on care, while participants will sand, brand, and finish the board. The resulting piece will serve not only as a practical item for entertaining but also as a meaningful expression of craftsmanship and design.
To enhance the experience, charcuterie snacks will be provided during the workshop.
